I absolutely love making apple nachos because they're a deliciously fun and healthy treat!
ingredient
- 2 large apples, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji
- ¼ cup almond butter, or peanut butter
- ¼ cup granola
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
- 1 tablespoon pepitas
- ½ cup vanilla yogurt, regular or Greek
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- ⅙ teaspoon apple pie spice, or pumpkin pie spice
Directions
- Prepare the Apples – Slice the apples into ¼-inch thick pieces. If not using right away, immediately add the slices to a bowl of cool water and cover. Drain well before using.
- Assemble the Apple Nachos – Arrange the apples slightly overlapping in a circle on a serving platter. Drizzle with the almond butter. Top with the granola, pecans, cranberries, and pepitas.
- Make the Sauce – In a small bowl, combine the vanilla yogurt, maple syrup, and apple pie spice. Serve with the nachos.
